Sisodia meets Delhi L-G to continue "Dilli ki Yogshala"

New Delhi (The Hawk): Manish Sisodia, the deputy chief minister of Delhi, met with V.K. Saxena, the lieutenant governor of Delhi, on Friday to discuss the continuation of the "Dilli ki Yogshala" initiative.

"Since the majority of the 17,000 yoga practitioners suffer from post-Covid illnesses, I have respectfully asked the L-G to continue holding lessons. It is the government's duty to maintain their health. The L-G has guaranteed me that nothing will go wrong and that he will review the case, "After the meeting, the Deputy Chief Minister remarked.

Sisodia declared: "I have had a detailed conversation with the L-G about how effectively the "Dilli ki Yogshala" initiative is being carried out throughout Delhi and how it will prove to be truly advantageous for our folks. Access to properly trained yoga instructors is made available to at least 17,000 ordinary Delhi residents who do not have the financial means to do so and who cannot even envision being able to do the same. These instructors lead daily yoga courses in a variety of parks near the residents."

Sisodia claimed that the BJP had planned a scheme to thwart the project by intimidating and threatening government employees, ensuring that they would create the documents wrongly as a result.

"I have asked the L-G to state that political disagreements have their own time and place, but that the majority of the 17,000 people who practise yoga every day are citizens who suffer from post-Covid illnesses. The government is in charge of keeping them healthy. The fact that the Delhi Chief Minister offers yoga instructors to the city's residents so they can practise yoga and then the officers are intimidated out of conducting the programme is a really difficult scenario "stated deputy CM.

Sisodia also claimed that the BJP had zero regard for either the populace or yoga. CM Arvind Kejriwal initiated the initiative, hence the BJP is cancelling it.

The "Dilli Ki Yogshala" initiative, which provides inhabitants of Delhi with free yoga instruction, was introduced by the Delhi government last year.

Yoga is taught as part of the programme by qualified instructors.
